If you must eat something, just have a piece of fruit or some veggies and some water. Sometimes, you may not stick to this rule, but try to as much as you can. When you sleep, your body stores fat instead of burning calories.

Workout with a friend for fun. By doing this, you not only have someone to keep you company, but to hold you accountable for going to the gym, even when you’re not especially motivated. Your workout may be more efficient thanks to the extra boost of adrenaline you get when working out with a partner.

Eating less red meat is the best way to cut your cholesterol and saturated fat intake. A good way to stretch your consumption of red meat is to use it as the centerpiece of a vegetable-heavy meal; instead of steak and potatoes for dinner, try something like borscht with a few chunks of beef instead. Lean, cubed red meat can be incorporated into your favorite recipes, albeit sparingly.

Give yourself an occasional pat on the back. If you are successful in staying on your diet it is good to reward yourself with a small dessert or glass of wine. Don’t fall prey to the belief that you have suddenly blown your diet. This means that you are doing a wonderful job with losing weight. However, do not constantly reward yourself. This diet is about a lifestyle, not punishing yourself.

It is important to take your time while eating. Try chewing food longer, taking smaller bites and involving yourself in some dinner conversation as you enjoy your meal. If you follow these tips, you’ll feel full sooner and won’t get overly full.
