Our Health Coaches guide their Clients along the path to Optimal Health with the Habits of Health—small, simple changes that, when repeated day after day, can create a future of better health, lowered disease risk, and overall increased well-being.
The health care system that isn’t

Today’s doctors are wrapped up in the red tape of managed care, and they can do little for the obese patient who’s stuck in unhealthy habits and getting sicker. Too many doctors are trained and paid to react to disease and prescribe medications, not to create health and prevent illness from happening in the first place.
The Habits of Health focus on the building blocks of good health—proper nutrition, adequate sleep, regular exercise, and stress reduction—freeing you from an inevitable downward spiral of failing health, more prescriptions, and, even more important, the false notion that a better life isn’t possible.
Improving your health through nutrition
When you begin the program, your Health Coach will help you get started on the Medifast 5 & 1 Plan. The five Medifast Meals you need each day are low in calories, have a low glycemic index, and are scientifically formulated with an optimal balance of protein, carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
Medifast Meals are designed to help you lose weight quickly and safely while feeling full and satisfied and getting all the nutrition your body needs.
The ultimate goal is to reach a healthy BMI, as it will cut the risk for dangerous diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes. You’ll also free yourself from the stress and exhaustion of chronic, preventable bad health. You may even save money: As you get to a healthy weight, your doctor may be able to cut back or eliminate some of your medications.
